Round-tail horned Lizard (Phrynosoma modestum)
Description: 2" to 2¾" snout-vent length. Color ash white to brownish to grayish, with darker blotches on sides of neck, at groin, and each side of tail base. Tail round and slender, broadening near its base. No ear openings. No lateral fringe scales along sides. Elevation Range: Only known from below 5,000' in Otero county in SE Colorado.
