Color Key
Description:
2½" to 4" snout-vent length; to 6" overall. Color brownish to grayish, with darker blotches usually in transverse rows. Often with lighter speckles. Light stripe down back faint or absent. Very short horns and chin shields. One row of pointed scales along sides.
Elevation Range:
Up to 5700' in northeast Colorado, to 11,000' in southwestern Colorado, and to 8000' elsewhere.
