Yellow Mud Turtle (Kinosternon flavescens)
Description: Less than 6½" carapace length. Carapace dull olive, yellowish green, or brown; plastron yellowish to buff. Chin and throat yellow. Elevation Range: Below 4500' in extreme eastern Colorado. Subspecies in Colorado: Kinosternon flavescens flavescens
