- Origin:
- Southern Australia
- Size:
- 80mm (SVL), 8-13 cm
- Active:
- nocturnal
- Habitat:
- terrestrial, range of habitats from wet coastal heathlands and sclerophyll forests to arid scrubs, favors rocky areas 10- 20 gal aquarium, paper towel or rocky substrate, driftwood, shelter, basking light or under tank heat, screen cover (loose), shallow water dish
- Lighting:
- incandescent for heat
- Foods:
- in wild: insects & spiders
in captivity:   crickets (calcium/vitamin dusted), mealworms
- Temperament:
- aggressive if disturbed, raises on all fours and "barks" or "coughs"
