The 216 "Browser Safe" Colors
- Notation is "#rrggbb" [red, green, & blue, in hexadecimal], as in <FONT COLOR="#ff0066"> for the Table Header below.
- Most browsers are supposed to draw images using a palette of 216 colors, as shown below:
-- Left to right: increasing values of red (large blocks).
-- Left to right: increasing values of blue (6 cycles of each).
-- Top to bottom: increasing values of green.
- An enlarged image of this palette is also available, along with all 216 colors rendered in text.
