After your website has been designed, some place is required to store the files so that they will be visible over the Internet. This generally requires renting space on an Internet-connected computer system. Numerous companies exist which provide this service, at a price ranging from free (but you have to include their advertising) to in excess of $100.00 per month.For those clients who don't require direct access to their sites and don't expect to do eCommerce from their site (most of our clients are in this category), WebSpinners.com maintains an account on a large Web Presence Provider, running the UNIX operating system, that is more than adequate to accommodate web sites up to several hundred pages. For sites designed and maintained by WebSpinners.com, we can make this space available for $240.00 per year, which includes up to 1/2 hour of free site maintenance per month. (In one half hour, quite a bit of maintenance, updating, and changing of information can be accomplished.) Additional site work in any given month is billed at our standard hourly rate.
We can also provide web site hosting for clients that do need direct access to their own site, or for those who need a secure server to handle charge card transactions on line. Prices vary, depending on the amount of functionality required.
